"Get Rid of Your Yellow Toenails, I did"
I don't where I found it on the internet a while back, but I had a toe nail fungus problem and was looking
for an alternative solution for it. Here's what I learned...
My big toe on my right foot was yellow. I'd gone, several years before, to the doctor and he'd written me a
prescription for Lamisil tablets. I'd dutifully gone to the pharmacy and tried to fill the prescription.
However, my health insurance company wouldn't cover it, they considered it cosmetic. At the time, I
inquired to see how much it would cost to pay for the pills out of pocket. It was $300 for a
month supply, and it would take up to a year for them to cure the problem.
I tried the other day to find some information on the internet that included what I'd done that actually made
what I did work, but couldn't find it. Here's what I found, though:

Home Remedies for Toenail Fungus
Fast forward several years...I still have a yellow toenail and it's starting to spread to my other toenails.
Since then, I'd switched cities and doctors, so I start the process again and have the doctor look at my toe.
He looks at it, does a scraping, and comes back and says, YEP, it's toe fungus.
He, again, writes me a prescription for Lamisil tablets and, after several iterations, I get my insurance
company to approve paying for it, so my deductible is MUCH more palatable than the $300 per month.
At the time, I was on several other medications and shortly after taking the Lamisil tablets I had
an unpleasant reaction to the combination of some of them (I'm not entirely sure what the combination
was caused the problem, but I'm fairly sure it wasn't the Lamisil tablets), so I went off ALL my
medications.
Now, each time I'd explored going on Lamisil tablets, I'd taken a liver test. Lamisil tablets can
completely destroy your liver, as I know now, and we're also talking about an exposure time of almost
a year. I wasn't as cognizant of the potential liver problem as I should have been at the time, I admit.
So, after the bad reaction I'd had, I was looking for alternatives to ALL my medications and I found a
solution for it that sounded plausible: Vick's VapoRub.
Now, again, my toenail was just a bit yellow. Not black, not detaching from the nail bed and looking
like a dried up leaf or anything like that. I don't know if this will solve those problems or not, but
I'd DEFINITELY give this a try before I took Lamisil tablets if I were you.
Here's what I did:
